Before installing your deflectors, lower your windows all the way down after making sure they are clean and dry. WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors are made of strong and flexible cast acrylic with ultra-thin precision machined flanges that are designed to slip into the window channels. In the first step installation, it is very important that the front and have the deflector rests on top of the outer window sill weatherstrip as you slide the machine flange into the forward window channel. Make sure the and is on top of the sill and not sliding down into the door. With the front end in position, bow the deflector toward you to create tension and slip the rear end flange into the rear vertical window channel leaving a half inch gap at the top. Then working along front to back, twist and slide the flange up into the window channel. A little outward pressure helps seat the deflector properly in the window channel. The rear WeatherTech Deflectors are designed the same as the front with that addition of some pre-applied adhesive on the flange. Just remove the backing from the adhesive and fit the deflector into the rear window by orienting it at a slight angle. Then straighten the deflector and slide it into the window channel. Apply slight outward pressure with finger tips to help set the adhesive. Finally, raise the window slowly to fully seat deflectors in the window channels it's best to apply a little outward pressure as your window closes for the first time. Again, a little outward pressure. Now, just leave your windows up for 12 hours and your WeatherTech side window deflectors are installed. A few installation tips: Remember that the front end of the deflector must rest on the sill weatherstrip and not go into the door. A little outward pressure to seat the deflector before the windows are raised and a little outward pressure as the window closes for the first time. A few window styles require slightly modified installations.
